Students at St Michaels and All Angels School will be taking part in a long term digital arts project at their school from Feb 2012

The title for this project is 'All Angels in Flux'. It was based at St. Michael and All Angels Academy in south London, where there is a long-standing relationship between the Arts Department and Karen Lois Whiteread - the artist responsible for developing the project along with Students at the school. It will be delivered in partnership with the Education Department of the South London Gallery.

'All Angels in Flux' is an artist led collaboration initiative which uses the creative process overall and digital media in particular to explore the concept and implications of flux, or change. The project is motivated by the imminent rebuilding of St Michael and All Angels Academy School in south London, over the next two years, and the subsequent social and cultural impact primarily on Year 10 & 11 Students, the school's administration, family, and the wider community - particularly as the majority of Students have been transferred to a range of other local schools. Thus, the central idea for this project is to give young people the opportunity to embrace the changes and confront the disruption through creative and artistic expression, exploring the possibilities the state of Flux will offer.
